SENIOR DECONDITIONING: URGENT NEED TO GET SENIORS MOVING AGAIN

Continuum of Fall Prevention and Deconditioning

In the South West Montreal and surrounding areas, in terms of interventions in community development and prevention (as unfortunately many seniors are weakened by the pandemic) we are fortunate to have several activities offered to seniors in the community:

Bouger et Vivre -- an organization that is struggling to survive due to a lack of funding and recognition, even though it has been working on this issue for years

ROPASOM's Health Walk -- claiming the right to walk, countering the ageism of our Prime Minister's message "envoeye a maison

Ensemble à travers tout pour la Vie project (breaking isolation of the most isolated, vulnerable seniors in SOV-- art therapy, deconditioning+++) --> co-creation of seniors, community, CHSLD day center, CLSC home support, community development.

A growing number of workshop offerings in deconditioning prevention in the community:

CÉDA, Centre des femmes actives, Dawson, CRCS St-Zotique, Centre sportif PB, Centre St-Antoine 50+, ACHIM, etc. and within Milieux de vie aînés/CLSC and community collaboration, +++

THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITIES, TO THE COMMUNITY MILIEU FOR ALWAYS BEING THERE... TO TAKE CARE OF THE MOST VULNERABLE PEOPLE, THE SENIORS...

THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN URGENT FOR A LONG TIME! THIS 5TH WAVE IS SLOWLY KILLING THE DECONDITIONED SENIORS... YOU HAVE SEEN IT QUICKLY, OBSERVED BECAUSE YOU ARE CLOSE TO THE PEOPLE! RECOGNITION+++ OF YOUR AGILITY TO ADAPT QUICKLY WITH FEW RESOURCES, ... IN THE SHADOW!
